  • Assess the need.
  • Schedule needed interviews (online or in person).
  • Slice and dice the material.
  • Write.
  • Review with client.
  • Edit, rewrite, and proofread.
  • Layout, design cover, and publish.

Training & Workshops

Patty Jo Sawvel began presenting training workshops in 2013 when the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools requested two sessions for the District’s No Parent Left Behind annual conference. The training was based on Patty Jo’s award-winning book Under the Influence: The Town That Listened to Its Kids

Since then, Patty Jo has trained 1000s of parents, teachers, law enforcement officers, and corporate professionals to bridge communication gaps.

Custom trainings are based on the following core concepts:

Cope—What we do to feel better after we mess up or lose something.

Connect—A mutual feeling of respect, care, and understanding.

Select—Choosing the appropriate role for the best possible outcome.

V.O.I.C.E. Lessons—The art of authentic, life-changing conversations.

Business Promotion

People do business with people they like. To like you, people have to know you. That’s where Classic Writing shines. We increase likeability by selecting relevant business or personal stories that highlight who you are and why you do what you do.
